February 8th!

We’ve been on hiatus, but I’m finally bringing my band, the ‘Echromatics’ to Fayetteville at the @theairbornecigaremporium . On top of that, it’s the first quintet gig I’ve ever done. This will be the first time I’ve presented my music as I’ve heard it in my head while writing; the first time I’ve presented my music as I intended on it sounding - and I could not ask for a better lineup!

2024 was a bit of a roller coaster 😅

Couple of other things not shown in the photos; I went to more concerts last year than I ever have. Jess and I traveled, saw the northern lights together, and really spent time together overall. I made two trips to Toronto this year to see my Canadian friends(family), and despite all of these things I managed essentially my most financially sound year.

I’m still not exactly where I want to be, but the biggest takeaway from 2024 for me I think was, don’t be afraid to turn down work. Despite the anxiety of losing my year’s planned work, I still took more time off than I ever have, and the right gigs and jobs found their way to me. I thank you all for that who played a part, and hope I delivered what you were looking for from me, and that I can build those relationships further this year!

I’m excited to share my next event in Wilmington:

I’ll be performing an evening filled with tunes by the great Joe Henderson at @liveatteds ! I’ll have a great band supporting me, including @keithbutler_jr . This will be the first time I’ve gotten a chance to play with Keith since probably 2016, so I’m thrilled we could put this together.

I’ve been fortunate this year to really be aroun

I’ve been fortunate this year to really be around people that inspire me to work on my craft to a better standard - but also to have the space and time to act on that interest.

I think for the first time not in school, I’ve truly found that desire in a way that doesn’t feel like a burden, it’s something I enjoy and need to do to feel right.

I’m getting to travel and play, but also show people my best. And really feel like each day I’m a little better than I was the day before. Not playing catch up to when I played better.

Little review of my modded out @gatorcases GM-4WR case. Thanks to Jimmy Hart at @sweetwatersound for working with me over a week to figure this out (and all the years before too of course!

Important note! The Atlas power conditioner is not an industry standard half rack size. I actually had to buy longer screws and some washers/spacers to “extend” the length of the rack mount ears to fit this build. But it was fun to create my own solution, nonetheless.

Yesterday concluded the @theeaglesdare Free Concert Friday series. 13 shows, I got to mix 9 of them I believe. Learned some important skills in the process, but most importantly I got to spend 9 Fridays across 3 months (and some other playing gigs in between) and meet and interact with a great staff. Joe, Shelby, AJ, Brin, and the rest of the staff whose name I didn’t catch, yall are a top notch team!

If you’re visiting Wilmington, I highly recommend this bar - you’ll be taken care of!

The excitement of getting rid of Spotify’s ‘<‘ on the stream count is always exciting, and to do so with my debut song is even more cool. Gives me hope that the full release will have good potential with the effort I want to give it.
